I'm Baaaaack! :)

OK, hello again! I know I've been abominably slack from posting, but you know how it is when you don't have a computer with which to get on Blogger and therefore must do all your blogging in infrequent library visits. But I digress. (I always wanted to say that word!) :)

We kidnapped Ariana for the day last Sunday, which is always fun. And yes, her brother due in June STILL does not have a name!! They have some options in mind but have not yet decided. Anyway, ready for some major cuteness? :)

Do you see anything in this bed??

I do! It's the Ariana Punkin!

She decided that Grandpa Mike and CG's bed would be a good place to play!

Is that an adorable smile or what?!!

Another CUTE smile!

Her hair is getting so long now, but it's still not really long enough to do anything with! They do their best with little hair clips and things, but babies will be babies, and her hair tends to stay very wild. :)

To distract her while I remade the bed, I gave her CG's shoes (women's size 9) -- think they fit? She sure thinks so!

Recently I mentioned that my song for my voice final was 'Some Day My Prince Will Come', and I offered to post a YouTube video of it. I was promptly reminded that y'all don't want to see YouTube videos, you want to see the video of me singing. Well, I don't sing very well, but I gave it my best, and here's the result...

But before I let you see the video, let me also mention that my mom accidentally missed videoing the first half of the first verse! So this video jumps into the song partway, and shows the latter 1 1/2 of the song!

OK, now you can watch it:

And so I will leave you with just a few random recent photos of -- who else? -- ME!!

Yeah I know, I sort of sprouted bangs between these two photos...weird, huh? :)

Bye-bye again for now!! :)

Ballet Recital!!

OK folks, here it is, Ballet Meets the Beatles!

A few photos first:
I'm in the second row, right behind the Jacob (the guy in the black tights and black Sgt. Pepper sailor jacket). I'm wearing a neon green headband, a tie-dye T-shirt in blue, green and red, and black skirt and tights (and tan ballet slippers).

Still can't see me? Well here, this might help:

Here's a group photo (our teacher is the lady in the skirt and long loose hair kneeling in the front row, two people away from me):
And another group photo:
(if you look close, we're all holding up the 'peace' sign...well, I'm not real big on the 'peace' sign, so I'm like holding my hands way down low!)

And now here is the video (it has a few hiccups, so bear with it please!) :)

Cat Duet -- Duetto Buffo de Duo Gratti

Five different versions of the Aria For Two Cats, by Giacomo Rossini! I saw this performed at the advanced voice class's recital, absolutely loved it, and had to share it with y'all. Although I still like best the version I saw. Enjoy! :)

Tra la la la la...

Yep. I finally made it over to the library because I have to get my Deaf Culture online class done... (what with my computer being down, and my dad off work this week so I can't use his computer, I'm a little stuck) and what happens but I make it over here and realize that I forgot to bring the book along... whoooops -- guess I'll just have to blog! :) So how are y'all doing? We're doing pretty good. Semester's almost over, just another week and a half!! Finals week is a the week after next, but my ballet final recital is next week, and then the week after (finals week) I just have the two finals for the voice and ASL classes.

So our ballet recital is called Ballet Meets the Beatles.

Yeah.

Not exactly what I thought I was getting into when I signed up for beginning ballet.

The first number is Magical Mystery Tour, the second is Yellow Submarine, I don't remember the name of the third, the fourth is Here There And Everywhere, and fifth is Imagine.

Oh, and we're wearing tie-dye T-shirts with black tights (skirts are optional, but I'm not wearing tights without a skirt, so that's a moot point).

Anyway, for our voice class recital, I'm singing Someday My Prince Will Come from Snow White. When I can I'll post a YouTube video for it, but for now you'll just have to look it up yourself. :)

Well, there's not a whole lotta lot going on, pretty much just the semester winding down. Oh yes, and praise the Lord, I got the summer job I wanted -- working with the summer daycamp version of our Saturday program, Manes and Tails. I know I've mentioned Manes and Tails on here, and as soon as possible I'll post some photos from it, but obviously I don't want to post the photos with the kids still in them (not only is it against SVUSD policy, but besides, not having asked their parents, I would never post their kids photos on the internet), so I'll have to wait to post them until I can crop them down to just me and the horse. Bummer. Anyway, I'm very thankful that I got the summer job...'course, I already mentioned that I have other summer plans as well, but I am not going to talk about them until they're either almost upon us or already finished...you know what I mean?

So yeah, this is a boring, meandering post...sorry about that...but at least a boring meandering post is better than no post!! :) Talk to y'all later!!
