Happy Birthday to Me!! :)

Yep, it's my birthday!

I was born at about 5:30ish in the morning several years ago. I'm not going to say how many though, because I don't want my age all over the internet.

Anyway, I am going to take advantage of my birthday to make a very selfish post. Yes folks, I am going to post the YouTubes of some of my favorite music.

It's all completely clean, all Christian, and all good. I'm not posting quite as much as I'd like to, though, because I only suddenly got this idea yesterday and didn't have time to get a whole lot. So I got my favorite songs of the Easters and the Martins, two of my all-time favorite groups. Of course, I enjoy LOTS of other music too (Isaacs, Hoppers, Hayes family, various Gaither groups, and many many more), but like I said, I didn't have much time...and besides, I didn't want this post to be tooooooo long.........

So anyway, you don't have to listen if you don't want to -- like I said, it's a selfish post! :) But here is some of my favorite music for your enjoyment......or, I should say, for mine!! :)

Jeff and Sheri Easter, I Need You

Jeff and Sheri Easter with Charlotte Ritchie and Polly Lewis, Swing Low Sweet Chariot

Polly Lewis is Sheri Easter's mother

Jeff and Sheri Easter with Charlotte Ritchie, Going Away Party

the song starts at about 1:52... the music and the video are not quite synced

Jeff and Sheri Easter with Charlotte Ritchie, and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, River of Jordan

The Martins, Out of His Great Love

The Martins, He Leadeth Me (acapella)

The Martins, Acapella Medley

I hope you enjoyed the music -- they're some of my absolute favorites! :)

Please go vote for Joe Misner!!

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN VOTING FOR HIM! I WILL POST AN UPDATE AS TO HOW HE DOES IN THE MUSTANG MAGIC (January 23-24) AS SOON AS I CAN!!! THANKS AGAIN! :)

OK, I need to ask a favor of you. Many of you have heard me refer to my Uncle Joe, the amazing horse trainer. He is currently participating in a trainers' challenge put out by the Mustang Heritage Foundation (he has been in several Extreme Mustang Makeovers, and has placed pretty high in several) called the Mustang Magic.

His daughter just emailed me with a copy of the email sent to them:

Remember when we asked for a photo and a little information. Well, here's why!

Shortly, about 8,000 people will receive our newsletter where they will be invited to vote for their Mustang Magic Fan Favorite. We included your photo and a little bit of info (couldn't include all you sent for those who did because of space limitations). People can vote as many times as they want
to.

We'll announce the Fan Favorite during the results of Mustang Magic on January 24 and the winner will receive . . . Drum roll please . . . A custom trophy breast collar with Mustang Magic Fan Favorite tooled. Yeah! So get your friends to voting.. Send them an email with this link.

Now, I personally think he's going to do pretty well in the competition. But, as his daughter said, right now he could really use a vote of confidence. They have had several major setbacks and roadblocks in the last few months, and this is our chance to let him know that we believe he's going to do great. Here's that link again:

Vote for Joe Misner and Sundance!!! And vote as many times as you can. Can you believe, there's somebody right now who has over 700 votes?? We can't let them win! Come on, folks, we can top that. Vote many many times please! :)

Thank you all!

Quick Update

Just thought I'd let y'all know what's going on. I hope y'all had a very happy New Year!

I already said most of this in a comment on Kate's blog, but for those of you who didn't see that, I will briefly explain. Last Tuesday morning I woke up at 2:00 in the morning, and didn't know why I was awake...then suddenly I knew why, and ran to the bathroom. Between then and 6:00, when my parents got up, I threw up three times and had diarrhea twice. I threw up another three or four times, the last time at about 1:00 that afternoon. In the afternoon the sickness moved into my head, and before you know it I was in for a sinus infection. Unlike most of the usual sinus ickies that I get (about twice a year, when the weather changes), this one didn't go away, so finally yesterday we saw a doctor who was able to prescribe some antibiotics. I'm feeling a lot better now, my sinuses are still pretty heavily plugged and sometimes I can't breathe, but on the whole I'm feeling better, so I praise the Lord for that.

That's all for now, I need to be going, but I just wanted to stop in and give a quick update on what's going on over on this end. Happy 2009 to you all! :)
